Dave Hall breathed new life into WN Foods in the 1970s. He split his time working as a pharmacist and getting to know the company. Naturally business-minded and determined to honor his father’s legacy, Dave picked up the ropes quickly; he was eager and had many new ideas for promoting and expanding WN Foods. He and John Young began connecting with more business owners, investing in co-packing equipment, and stayed involved with the Chinese-American community. It soon became clear that WN Foods had again grown too large for its location, and it needed facilities that would better suit its ever increasing manufacturing needs. After moving the company to a larger building in San Francisco, John retired, feeling confident in WN Foods’ future with Dave.
