“Scratch a dog, and you’ll find a permanent job.” —Frankin P. Jones

Okay, so that’s obviously not our main job here at WN Foods, but we do love our pets. Part of the purpose of these blog posts is to allow you to get to know us, and what better way to do that than to meet our best animal friends?

Cora, Smokey, and Malia (Age 5)

Dad pets

These 3 adorable chihuahua/maltese siblings belong to Gregory, WN Foods’ owner and general manager. Though they look quite different, they all enjoy hiking, doing tricks in exchange for chicken jerky, and howling at fire trucks.

Nero and Pumpkin (Ages 2.5 years and 6 months)

Kiana pets

These 2 rescue cats belong to Kiana, our online marketing specialist. Don’t be fooled by their size difference—little Pumpkin is the real ringleader here! Nero is a gentle giant, just happy to follow and occasionally receive salmon treats.

Lewie (Age 4)

He marketed the company to new demographics and began producing a broader variety of products, leading to a wider, more diverse audience than ever. He also installed a state-of-the-art high speed production line, greatly expanding WN Foods’ co-packing and manufacturing capabilities. The History of WN Foods: Chapter 7

WN History 90s
(Dave Hall and his sons Greg Hall and Patrick Hall at WN Foods)

The 1990s were a transitional period for WN Foods. After the company began to specialize and hone its skills as a co-packer, it started bringing in more business than ever. It soon became clear that WN Foods had outgrown its San Francisco building and needed a larger updated space, which it found at its current location in Hayward, CA. Here, Dave Hall was joined by his son, Greg Hall. Greg, an engineer with a knack for problem-solving and innovation, came in eager to modernize WN Foods. Taking a more analytical approach, he went department by department to improve efficiency and expand company profits. He and Dave attracted new clients and formed new business relationships, growing WN Foods and its legacy ever larger.
