Ponzu

Ponzu Glaze

Spring is here, the weather is starting to warm up, and you’ve craving something refreshing. What sauce do you turn to? Ponzu!

Ponzu is a light, tangy sauce made with yuzu, rice vinegar, rice wine, seaweed, and katsuobushi (bonito flakes). Its fresh and citrusy flavor makes it perfect for seafood, marinades, and salad dressings. It can also be combined with soy sauce to make ponzu shoyu, or made into a glaze (as pictured above).

Plus, ponzu is great for those watching their health! This zesty sauce is known for being low in sugar and saturated fats.

Ready to experience ponzu sauce for yourself? Fortunately, it has been steadily growing in popularity over the last few years, and can be found in many grocery stores around the US. It is now more easy than ever to stop by the supermarket and pick up some fresh fish with ponzu sauce. Enjoy!
